The deepest river in New Zealand is the Clutha River.


The Clutha River is the second longest river in New Zealand, running for 338 km. 


In 1878 the Clutha River flooded, that flood has been regarded as New Zealand's greatest known flood.

      Thanks for commenting! The rivers depth varies depending on what spot of the river you are near so I can't give you a specific answer. But I can tell you that the Clutha River is 338km long.
